Being one ourselves, we love a family business. When we first started sourcing suppliers for The Oaks, we instantly connected with Shropshire Petals. Their ethos to ‘provide the best nature has to offer, produced with integrity on our family farm’ really spoke to us! And just LOOK at their beautiful fields! Not only are their products gorgeous, more importantly they are sustainable and friendly to the environment. Our alpacas (mostly Alan who is always hungry) and the farms wildlife can have a nibble and it won’t harm them. Plastic confetti not only litters our beautiful countryside but takes a huge amount of time to break down.

We love the history of Shropshire Petals, in 1980 Nanny Bubb started growing flowers on the Bubb family farm alongside her husband who farmed potatoes, sugar beet, cereals and kept a dairy herd. By 1985 she started selling dried flowers at the Women's Institute stand in Newport. Scroll forwards to 2023 and the business is booming!
